Price list for fees in the library and information system of the Library of the University of Silesia and the Main Library of the University of Economics in Katowice

Legal basis:
Chapter I, Paragraph 3 of the Regulations of access to the collections in the CINiBA.

1. Access to the library collections:

• a caution account (deposit is returned when user cancels his account) 150.00 PLN (2 vol.); 400 PLN (4 vol.); 600 PLN (vol.),
• issuing an electronic library card or its duplicate 10.00 PLN.
• keeping the book unreturned beyond the due date: per each started week of delay in return of one volume 1.00 PLN.
• keeping the book unreturned beyond the due date: per each started day of delay in return of one volume borrowed for overnight or weekend 10.00 PLN.
• sending the first prompt note 4.00 PLN.
• sending the second and every following prompt note 10.00 PLN.
• damage to the bar code or free access label 2.00 PLN.
• damage to the RFID label 5.00 PLN.
• destruction of a book, depending on the degree of destruction 30.00 PLN (minimum fine).

2. Interlibrary Loan

•  import of a book from a library located in Poland 5.00 PLN.
• import of a microfilm from a library located in Poland 2.00 PLN.
• photocopy imported from a library located in Poland - according to an invoice, or a flat fee of 4.00 PLN.
• microfilm or photocopy of a microfilm, digitization of the items from the library collections - from libraries located in Poland: according to an invoice.
• import of a book or a microfilm from European countries (excluding the United Kingdom) – according to an invoice, or a flat fee of 30.00 PLN.
• import of a photocopy from European countries (excluding the United Kingdom) – according to an invoice, or a flat fee of 20.00 PLN.
• import of copies from licenced journals (in electronic form) from European countries (excluding the United Kingdom) according to an invoice, or a flat fee of 40.00 PLN.
• microfilm or photocopy of a microfilm for a special order from abroad – according to an invoice.
• import of a book or a microfilm from the United Kingdom 100.00 PLN.
• import of photocopy from the United Kingdom 50.00 PLN.
• import of materials from non-European countries – according to an invoice + cost of postage.
• importing from abroad a book available in Poland, but not possible to order through interlibrary loans – according to an invoice + cost of postage.

Note: The VAT is added to the price in an invoice issued for services for non-students / non-PhD students.

3. Other services (based on library collections)

• a bibliographic query for an order of an institution or a bibliometric search for an order of an institution or an individual – per each hour of a search 50.00 PLN.
• photocopies for institutions (A4) 0.50 PLN / page.
• a scan made from library materials (up to A3 format) - 0.6 PLN per 1 file.
• a microfilm or microfiche scan 0.60 PLN per 1 file.
• digital photography made of materials from library collections PLN 3.00 per 1 item.

• for a lost number badge from the cloakroom 25.00 PLN.
• for a lost key to the locker 50.00 PLN.
• or a lost key to the individual study carrel 50.00 PLN.
